NH.com Dining Review
April 13, 2004
"Dos Amigos is a perfect spot for a grab-and-go meal, or a friendly place for the young to hang. The casual food is done fast and cheap, and the atmosphere is friendly."

"The servings are generous if you go for the burritos or quesadillas, (your choice of white or wheat tortillas ). They come with rice, black beans, salsa, cheese and your choice of sour cream or yogurt. It is a lot of food for $5 or $6. I like the illusion that you are being virtuous if you choose yogurt."

Seacoast Eats Restaurant Review: Dos Amigos Burritos
Sept. 12, 2003

"The burritos are huge. As I looked around the bright, sleek space, decked out with colorful modern paintings of produce by local artist Sarah Minor, I saw diners wrestling with the same problem I was having - how do you eat this thing? One guy picked it up in his hands, a brave move, but he managed. Another couple stared at the burrito, puzzled, before getting up to get a knife and fork. "

THE PENNY GOURMET (sm) AWARD
presented by SeacoastSearch.com and SeacoastNH.com
"For decades we've been wondering why there are so few good places to eat cheaply in downtown Portsmouth after dark.  There are a zillion fine restaurants and bars, but where to go -- other than Gilley's or pizza  -- for a quick, tasty, evening snack or a family meal? Welcome Dos Amigos Burritos with quesadillas and burritos starting at $5 and tacos from $1.50. The hours are late and the food is great. Located on busy State Street just before the Kittery Bridge, the Mexican take-out has become an instant success."

Seacost Online: An alternative to fast food
By Christine Gillett
"Although burritos may be the headliner - with filling choices like sweet potato, roasted red pepper, barbecued chicken, steak and portobello mushroom - Dos Amigos’ menu includes quesadillas, soft tacos with a variety of fillings including fish, salads, chargrilled jalapenos, and chips with fresh salsa made daily.

There’s also a kid’s menu that includes the "Mexican Peanut Butter and Jelly," wrapping the old favorites in a warm tortilla. "
